The SDA is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers and we need your support! Here are the different ways you can get involved and help us improve the liveability of our district.
Become a Member
The SDA is focused on informing, engaging, and advocating for our district to build community and improve liveability for all residents. All our operations depend solely on membership fees and direct donations. When you become a member, your fees will help us cover the costs of: distributing the newsletter and information flyers; maintaining the website; and hosting community events such as our Annual General Meeting, Town Hall meetings, and social events. There are different options for membership and payment is quick and easy. Members also have the right to vote at the AGM. Our influence on development issues – such as our recent campaign to have the City adopt an official student housing strategy – is stronger when we have a collective voice. Your membership makes a difference and makes our work possible.
Become a Volunteer
Support the SDA by becoming a volunteer. We are always looking for residents who can offer their time and expertise for a special project, or as a member of the Board of Directors, or on a sub-committee. If you would like to volunteer or have a special project or event you would like to support, please contact us!

Periodically we need volunteers to help deliver information flyers in the District – a great way to raise awareness and your heart rate!
